In the category of printmaking,
there were thirteen entries.

Afternoon Shade by Karl Marxhausen
was awarded Second Place ribbon 
in the printmaking category. The five block color
linocut is framed in a white mat, with monogram
in the lower right corner.

The exhibit run January 21 to February 26, 2012.

  2. "Karl, I've been trying to reach you by phone all day today. You're obviously out of town and you told me a couple of days ago that your computer is on the fritz, but I'll try. One of your entries won an award last night. It was the tri-colored one with a cow coming around a tree through the brush. Vince and I clapped really loud when it flashed up on the screen . . . but then so did everyone else.

    Congradulations, kid. I think you've hit your stride."
